For more than a decade, Maple Ridge mother of two, Gail Nelson has been developing games to advance early learning. Gail’s passion for making learning fun began with her own children, when she was looking for ways to enhance their comprehension levels of primary math concepts. Gail spent time watching and listening to her children as they engaged in play, and when they were learning. With the help of her daughter’s creativity, imagination, and intelligence, Gail was able to turn her ideas into games that kids actually looked forward to playing. The games were shared with a local elementary school, where they received rave reviews from both teachers and students. Now, she’s sharing the joy of learning through play with the public with the launch of her first game, Countin’ Mountain.
